Blah Blah Steroids: Big Papi Edition

David Ortiz has become the latest player named in major league baseball’s steroid scandal, confirming Thursday that the players’ union told him he tested positive back in 2003.
"I’ve just been told that the report is true," said the Boston Red Sox slugger. "Based on the way I lived my life I’m surprised to learn I tested positive."
Though Ortiz has never been linked to the drug scandal, it's no surprise he tested positive along with former teammate Manny Ramirez six years ago.

So yeah, stop acting so shocked.

I believe him when he says he didn't, and that he doesn't know what's going on. It's hard not to -- he's big papi!!

What?? "Based on how I lived my life, I'm surprised that I tested positive"?
Is he saying that he thought he covered up his drug use better than that? Or, maybe since he's never been caught DUI or shot himself in the leg, a little dirty drug test shouldn't really count.
Sorry, David Ortiz. You tested dirty. You should be banned from baseball, and all of your accomplishments stricken from the record books. Same with Manny Ramirez, Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, and all the rest.
It's simple. You cheated, and got caught. It's a huge risk/reward.

He's a bum, just like the rest of them. He's batting .231 on the season and has just 15 HR's. On top of that, he's only played 39 defensive innings this year. How is he worth $13,000,000 to the Red Sox in 2009?

I'm not surprised. But I'm kind of sad because I didn't want to believe it either.
Based on his shitty year, he's obviously off the juice though... ha.
