Little Timmy Man-Handles Cardinals

I heart TimmyHoly smokes.

Tim Lincecum (I think I'm in love) led his San Francisco Giants to a 10-0 victory Monday night, striking out eight St. Louis Cardinals over nine shutout innings. He walked none and allowed just two hits, dropping his ERA to 2.37 and earning his eighth win of the season. The Freak leads the pack in strikeouts with 132 already, which is seven ahead of the next guy, Atlanta Braves righty Javier Vazquez.

Travis Ishikawa lent his bat to the Cardinals' sixth loss in their last eight games with a three-run shot in the third inning off starter Brad Thompson. This put the Giants ahead 4-0 before they busted the sucker wide open with a five-run seventh off stunned rookie Clayton Mortensen in his major league debut. Welcome to the big leagues, buddy.

Lincecum, enjoying another spectacular season, needed just 95 pitches to record his third complete game of the year. He sent down the first 14 batters he faced, a streak that came a halt with a Rick Ankiel single in the fifth. The stud right-hander surrendered just one other hit after that: a one-out double to Albert Pujols in the seventh. Completely forgivable.

Enjoy your second straight National League Cy Young Award, Timmy. Wanna make out?

He's a freak of nature. And you're right, a base-hit to Pujols is totally forgiveable...

AND he's adorable. I Can't believe I forgot to mention that in my previous comment. I just want to pinch his cheeks.

I KNOW! I wanna take him out in the back yard and play catch with him. And make out.

Agreed that he is awesome. Concerned that he is throwing a LOT of pitches lately and could be messing up his arm. (Remember, he left early on Opening Day because of pitch count.) Have to say though, looked up from editing an article after the 7th and saw we had a 9-0 lead. Told my husband, "Hmm, I think I like our chances."

Other than the fact that he gave my fantasy team 45 points, I'm not at all happy with the outcome of the game; being a Cards fan and all.
That said, the kid is a stud on the mound; there's no doubt about that.

So, when is Bruce Bochy going to demand a haircut? it's almost past his shoulders at this point!

That has to be one of the most adorable pictures in the history of pictures.
