The news, first reported Thursday morning by the Los Angeles Times, detailed information that the butterfly-chasing outfielder tested positive for what sources identified as the drug human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), which is most commonly used in the treatment of female infertility. This drug also just-so-happens to diminish testosterone levels at the end of a cycle of steroid treatments. Either Manny is an infertile woman, or he has some explaining to do.
