San Francisco Giants youngster Tim Lincecum, selected to his first All-Star game this season, called in sick to Tuesday's festivities.
The 24-year-old righty was taken to a nearby hospital after feeling ill earlier in the day, and was released after being treated for flu-like symptoms and dehydration.
Since he is absolutely adorable, in a 12-year-old with a tummy ache sort of way, we'd like to take this opportunity to wish Lincecum a speedy recovery. Maybe if he's still awesome next season he'll get another shot at his first Midsummer Classic.
Lincecum is 11-2 with a 2.57 ERA at the break.
