Eric Byrnes is on the Comeback Trail

I'm so awesome. My dog is awesome, too.
We've more or less been looking for an excuse to post this rad picture of Eric Byrnes, and I think we've been given one.

The Arizona Diamondbacks left fielder was taken off the 15-day disabled list Monday and penciled in to lead off against the Boston Red Sox.

Byrnes went 0-for-5 with a strikeout. Back to normal, I see.

I knew he was a socks and sandals type of guy.

The ESPN Baseball Today podcast had Peter Gammons on it today. He basically blamed Eric Byrnes' breakout year last season, the reason the D-backs are sucking it up this season.

They had to give Byrnes a big extension because he was a fan-favorite. But, in doing so, they had to let a guy like Carlos Quentin go. Quentin is doing pretty darn good for the White Sox this year, but I see him falling off a bit. He hasn't had a good June.

I think Justin Upton is to blame, but that's just me. He's 10 for his last 91. That is like Doug Mirabelli bad.

It's like the D'Backs never watched an A's game in their lives.

I think it's only fair to say you can't dress like a total dork unless you're good at baseball. Offensively AND defensively.
