Manny's countdown to 500 bombs

Yeah, I'm Injured! That's the Ticket!

San Diego Padres ace Jake Peavy will miss his scheduled start Monday due to some soreness in his pitching elbow.

According to the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner, he's been bothered by discomfort in his right elbow over his last three or four starts. Maybe it's no coincidence he's dropped three of his past four decisions, lasting just four innings this Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs?

Peavy, who is 4-3 with a 2.91 ERA and 60 K's this season, will have an MRI Monday morning while lefty Wil Ledezma fills in on the hill against the St. Louis Cardinals.

If you think I'm awesome at fantasy baseball, you are sorely mistaken. However, I will be appearing on The Fantasy Baseball Gurus podcast this evening at 7:35pm ET. It'll be funny.
