Manny Being Manny Being Awesome

Can I has high five? The absolutely ridiculous chain of events you are about to see went down during the Boston Red Sox 6-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday afternoon.

On the hunt for career homer #500, Manny Ramirez remains undistracted. He flashed some leather at Camden to rob former teammate Kevin Millar of an extra base hit before high-fiving a fan on his way down, planting, and nailing cutoff man Dustin Pedroia, who relayed to Kevin Youkilis at first to get Aubrey Huff for an inning-ending double play.

Bad. Ass.

Check out an interview with the high-fivee here at A Lost Ogle and Baseball Tonight's Manny Moments on Awful Announcing.

That was kickass. I think if I saw Manny climbing a 7-foot wall in front of me, I'd jump back -not reach out for a high-five. Great instincts, kid!

He's on track to be one of the greatest right-handed hitters ever, and he also high-fives fans while turning double plays from left field. I love him.

I want so badly not to like Manny, but I love him.

That kicked ass. He makes it look so effortless.

That play was smokin'.

i'd say that was about 50 feet short of robbing millar of a homerun, but a great play nonetheless!

I don't know, in past seasons that could have been an inside-the-parker on Manny.

Am I the only one who thinks he jogged into the outfield fence just to showboat a little?
