We've all been dying to hear Jimmy Rollins' take on Carlos Beltran's outspoken 2008 season preview. Sadly, there was very little smack-talking on behalf of the Philadelphia Phillies switch-hitting shortstop.
Rollins took Beltran's boast with a grain of salt, saying that "sequels are never good" and playfully asking reporters whether they had ever heard of plagiarism.
Last January, he made the same bold prediction as Beltran -- that his was the team to beat in the National League East -- but went on to win the NL MVP in a breakout season that had him looking like a genius.
However, with the addition of Johan Santana to an already awesome starting rotation, the New York Mets All-Star centerfielder doesn't sound as crazy.
My bold prediction? Watch out for the Atlanta Braves and a Chipper Jones batting title.

Whoa J-Roll. Nice pythons.
I second that.
Jesus loves Rollins exactly one more game than He loves Jose Reyes.
Chipper Jones + batting title = me in the fetal position holding my knees and shuddering
