Aaron Rowand -- or Bacon Pants as The Ladies... affectionately call him -- has agreed to a five-year, $60 million contract with the San Francisco Giants.
The 30-year-old, All-Star centerfielder is expected to bat fifth for the Giants after spending the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies -- the last being a career Gold Glove year. Rowand hit .309 with 27 homers and 89 RBIs, nailed 45 doubles, and crossed the plate 105 times in 161 games last season. Way to go, buddy!

Bacon Pants! ? I don't get it, but it's somehow hilarious.
Um, I think Bacon has to do with the sizzle...and the meat.
Am I just dirty that way?
I wish it were spring (sigh.)
I guess that means he is not Jewish then.
I'm so excited about the Aaron Rowand deal for San Francisco. He will bring a solid bat to the order and a lot of heart to a club that desperately needs it.
