Yay Maicer!

Maicer Izturis nails his first grand salami off Twins pitcher Scott Baker in the sixth inning Friday night.
Congratulations to Maicer Izturis on hitting his first career grand slam, which aided in the Los Angeles Angels 10-1 bitch-slapping of the Minnesota Twins Friday night.

Maicer Izturis is pretty excited about his first grand slam ever.The switch-hitting third baseman launched an 0-1 Scott Baker pitch deep into the right-field seats in the sixth inning for his fourth longball of the year and second in four games.

Izturis is batting .268 with 31 RBIs and 3 stolen bases on the season.

Well, he is in the majors... on the other hand, he already owns the Izturis family record for single-season home runs with five; he's tied his brother Cesar for career dingers with 11, and on his next will go on to glory forever. All hail Cesar, er, Maicer!
