We've been absolutely dying for the opportunity to put up a pic of Alex Rodriguez has the chance to turn back time today if he manages to hit a homer against the Baltimore Orioles, as a suspended game from June 28th is resumed at Camden Yards.
The rule, 10.23 (d), states: "All performances in the completion of a suspended game shall be considered as occurring on the original date of the game."The Yankees were leading the O's by a score of 8-6 when umpires stopped play in the top of the eighth, leaving A-Rod hanging out in the on deck circle in the midst of an 0-for-3 night with one RBI.
So, home run ball #499 (which Rodriguez has in his possession) could actually be #500 if he indeed hits a bomb in his next at bat... which would make Gil Meche the sucker to give up the milestone blast.
Any wagers?

The mental picture of ARod left out hanging at 0-fer is beautiful.
And I think that might be a picture of a Cher impersonator- which is even better, because of ARod's off-the-field preferences.
Sources say that is A-Rod.
I was just about to say that, Sooze. He eerily resembles A-Rod..
I'll wager that he won't hit one, which means he will.
