Stop! Thief!

The day: July 1, 2007. The man: José Reyes. The feat: 40 stolen bases.

Are you joking me? This guy is out of control.

Reyes, schooled in the ways of stealing the bags by none-other-than the Man of Steal Himself, is batting .317 with 4 homers and 34 RBIs for the New York Mets.

The sneaky short stop with well-oiled wheels has bobbed, weaved and juked his way to 40 stolen bags this season in no time flat. In turn, he's earned himself a trip to the Mid-Summer Classic for the second year in a row as the starting man up the middle alongside fellow New Yorker and object of our affection, David Wright.

Reyes is pretty excited too, since he didn't get to play last year due to an untimely hand injury.

Congrats, you tricky bastard.

Jose just needs to pump some more iron and hit 36 more homers this year, and he'll be all set.

Love it, love it, love it! Base stealing is my favortie thing in Baseball, which is pretty sad really but... ehh... whatever.

If Reyes played for the Marlins they might actually fill a few seats now and then. Not many of-course...

Dude, the only thing more exciting than a steal is a double-steal.

Ain't that the truth!

Great post! Any over/under on Reyes snagging 100 this year?
