Chase Utley: Let Me Ice that For You
Some unfortunate news out of Philly Thursday night...
Philadelphia's stud second baseman, Chase Utley broke his right hand during the club's 7-6 loss to the Washington Nationals.
The All-Star was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning by John Lannan, who just so happened to be making his big league debut. That oughta' make it memorable.
The tough-as-nails Utley finished the game, going 2-for-4, but X-rays taken afterward revealed the break.
Batting .336 with 17 homers and 82 RBIs for the Phillies, Utley's self-assessment turned out a period of roughly three weeks recovery time.
Jimmy Rollins will sure miss him up the middle for the next few weeks, as Abraham Nunez - who will replace Utley at second - is just not as fun to turn DP's with.

Thanks for your letter of concern.
We've had to give Clare and Texas Gal a couple of Valium so they could sleep through the night, their pain was so great.
See.. Now if THAT'S how Piazza got hit, I could understand the whining...
I am in love with that picture.
Hot.
I'm going to be at the DC Pants Party next week, and by Grabthar's hammer, I shall avenge thee, Chutley!
Watch your back, Lannan.
