Collective Uh-Oh Uttered In Land Of Beers
After another catastrophic road trip, the once untouchable Milwaukee Brewers now hold a slim half-game lead over the once battered and bruised Chicago Cubs.
On Saturday for example, they allowed the St. Louis Cardinals to rally from a six-run deficit for a 7-6 victory in the twin-bill opener.
Milwaukee, which led the division by 8.5 games on June 24th now finds themselves ahead in the slimmest margin in the NL Central since April 22nd.
"We're still in first," reliever Derrick Turnbow rationalized. "We've just got to play better, like we're capable, and I think everything will be fine."
The Brew Crew have lost 11 of 14 on the road, falling to 21-32 away from Miller Park. At home, they're are 36-17, which is still the best home record in the NL.
Heading back to Milwaukee on Tuesday for two tough matchups against the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, what are their chances they can start rolling again?

I agree with Turnbow, they'll be fine. There's no way the Cubs and Cards won't self-destruct down the road.
Where is this land of Beers you speak of? Sounds nice.
