Cincinnati Reds pitcher Eric Milton will have reconstructive elbow surgery this Friday, most likely ending his season and possibly his career with the Reds.
The lefty may become a free agent when his three year, $25.5 million deal ends this fall.
Milton was 0-4 with a 5.17 ERA over six starts this season, lasting only until May 9th, when he landed on the 15-day disabled list with left elbow inflammation.

Milton sucked with the Twins too.
If I, Stu, recall correctly, Milton was the big get in the Knoblauch trade.
And I don't think it's fair to say he sucked. He was serviceable, even threw a no-no. Definitely didn't become the dominant lefty everyone thought he'd be, but he wasn't Sydney Ponson, either.
That said, boy, he and Carl Pavano can use their good arms to count all the money they pretty much stole, can't they?
Exactly, Stu. $20 million for BP isn't all that bad.
