Endy Chavez to Land on the DL?
The New York Mets' outfield was already in shambles before Wednesday night when Endy Chavez left the game against the Philadelphia Phillies with an injured hamstring that will likely land him on the disabled list.
In the bottom of the seventh with bases loaded and one out - the Mets trailing by one - Chavez tried to run out a grounder to short. Instead, he forced a double play and collapsed to the ground in pain.
Chavez will undergo an MRI exam on Thursday. Normally a backup, he is batting .292 with one homer and 13 RBIs in 47 games this season.
On the bright side, Shawn Green is optimistic that he'll be ready to return from a broken right foot when he's eligible this Sunday. He has not played since May 25th.
Old school left fielder Moises Alou also is on the DL with a frustrating quadriceps injury. There is no timetable set for his return.

Nice pic of Shawn. ;) ;)
Haha, it's why you come here, isn't it. :)
Bad week in Metsland.
Fortunately:
1) Still only early June;
2) Looks like Chipper will be out a while; and
3) They're still, y'know, the Phillies.
all good points, mikeski.
