Chris Capuano Considered Day-to-Day

Milwaukee Brewers lefty Chris Capuano was taken out of the game against the St. Louis Cardinals this afternoon shortly after getting nailed by a sharp ground ball.

In the second inning, Capuano was hit in the right calf by an Aaron Miles grounder. He came back out to warm up before the start of the third, feeling good enough to keep pitching for the time-being.

Tony Gwynn, Jr. pinch-hit for Caps in the bottom of the third and righty Carlos Villanueva replaced him on the hill in the fourth inning.

The Brew Crew announced Capuano had a contusion on his right calf and is listed as day-to-day.
